1. How often should I clean my synthetic wig or hair piece?

Generally, a wig should be washed after it has been worn 7-10 times but, there are factors that could change this, depending on the individual wearer, the type of styling products used or the environment in which the wig or hair piece is worn. You personally, will be the judge of when it needs to be cleaned.

2. How do I clean my synthetic wig or synthetic hair pieces?

Step 1: Gently brush the wig thoroughly with a wig brush.

Step 2: Add one tablespoon of wig shampoo to a sink or large sized bowl filled with cold water. DO NOT USE HOT WATER

Step 3: Immerse wig for one minute and gently swish around. DO NOT RUB

STEP 4: Rinse the wig gently in cold clear water twice or until thoroughly rinsed.

Step 5: Blot the wig gently with a towel and or simply lay the wig/hair piece on a towel and let air dry.

DO NOT BRUSH WIG WHILE STILL WET

DO NOT USE HAIRDYER ON WIG

DO NOT ALLOW WIG TO DRY IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT

Step 6: Brush wig only when completely dry. You may gently style the wig with your fingertips.

3. Can I use hair spray on my wig or hair piece?

Yes, we recommend using our Holding spray, Tangle free spray and Wig Sheen and Conditioner.

4. How do I clean my human hair wig?

We recommend that you use our Wig Shampoo and Conditioner.
First fill a sink or large size bowl with cool water. Add one to two tablespoons of our Shampoo and Conditioner to the cool water and immerse wig for one minute and gently swish around. Remove excess water by blotting with towel. You may then lightly spray the wig with our Wig Sheen and Conditioner (do not over saturate or rinse out). Proceed to comb through hair, starting at the ends and working your way up to the base. You can set under a hot dyer until dry or let it dry naturally.

5. How do I put on and wear my wig?

Remove the protective hair net from the wig. Give the wig a gentle shake. If your hair is short, brush it back from your face and behind your ears. If your hair is long, distribute and pin your hair evenly, so as not to have any "bump" anywhere or use a wig cap. Note the Clips or Velcro tabs for sizing. Hold your wig at the sides with the label in the back. Place it at the middle of your forehead (for leverage) and slide it from the front to the back. The top front of the wig's cap should rest approximately 1/4" past your natural hairline. If the wig is too forward at the front hairline, it will look hat-like and unnatural. The ear tabs on each side on your head should be evenly placed in front of your ears. Never place the wig over your ears. Tuck in any stray hair at the front, sides and nape.

6. How do I store my wig?

The best way to store your wig is on a wig stand. Not only does this help prevent your wig from becoming tangled or soiled between wearing, it also helps to maintain your wig's factory style and shape. Ideally, your wig should be stored in a clean, dry place, away from dust, mildew, and sources of high heat.

7. What should I use to brush or comb my wig?

Depending on what type of wig or hair piece you own, it is advisable to lightly pick or brush the ends to soften the appearance each time you wear it. On long pieces always start from the ends.

Brushes: that has single teeth from the base and has bristles that can flex or bend as they pass through the hair, this will lesson any possible damage.

Hair picks: are also excellent for light touch-ups because they pass through the fibers with minimum resistance or pulling.

Combs: with bigger spaces rather then close-together teeth.

8. How can I detangle my wig?

Our Tangle free spray is great on synthetic or human hair and is especially good for long haired and tight curled wigs.

9. How can I give my wig extra shine?

Wig sheen will give your wig the extra shine; try our wig sheen and conditioner.

10. What is the best way to wear my wig if I have long hair?

There are two options that work quite well for our clients with longer hair. Some of our clients wrap their hair around their head and pin it in place underneath their wigs. You can also wear a wig cap (a head cap that may be worn underneath wigs). The wig cap fits tightly (but comfortably) over your hair and keeps your hair in place.

11. Do I have to wear a wig cap?

Using a wig cap is mainly a matter of personal preference. Most of our clients, whether they have long or short hair, prefer to use wig caps because it holds the hair in place better and helps to keep the wig cleaner. In some instances, it may also prevent hair breakage due to the wig cap rubbing against the scalp. Wig caps are also quite useful if you have longer hair.

12. Can I cut my wig?

Yes. Both our synthetic and human hair wigs may be cut just like normal hair. This can be helpful if you purchase a longer wig and later decide to go with a shorter style, or if you would like a custom look with bangs or layers.

13. What is the best thing to do for the hairline when wearing a wig with out bangs?

The best thing is to leave front of your hair out partially in the front then blend it into the wig so that your own hair line is shown. This can be done when your own hair and the wig hair color are blendable. Usually, wigs without bangs have little baby hairs in the front or have a skin-like cap so that the wig will look as real as possible

14. How can I remove the shine from my wigs?

If you find your wig is too shiny for you, lightly apply baby powder to the wig with a powder puff. Then, shake any excess powder from the wig.

15. How do I know what style and length of wig is best for me?

One of the ways we recommend first-time wig shoppers choose a wig is to make a selection that best complements their facial shape. While some facial shapes look good with any wig, most must be carefully matched to a wig. By following these simple guidelines below, you'll be able to find the wig that brings out the true beauty in your face.

Please remember, these are merely general guidelines. They may or may not work for you depending on your features, coloring and personal style. As you become more comfortable with what works with your face, body and style, you'll be able to make even better choices in wig and hair styles. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to

Oval Face
Oval shaped face is considered one of the most versatile because almost all wigs will look flattering. Any style, be it long, short, curly, or straight will look natural and pretty.

Round Face
Neat bobs are not recommended for those who have a round shaped face - it will only make your face look fuller. The goal is to slim your face. Some of the styles that you should look for are wigs that will frame your face and have height at the crown.

Square Face
If your face is square shaped, blunt-clipped bangs should be avoided because it will make your face look even more angular. If you want to wear bangs, try the wigs that have wispy or fringed bangs. If you don’t want to have bangs, a side part will suit you best instead of a center part. The key is to soften the edges of your face - this can be done best by wearing a style close to your face (i.e., soft layers in the front).

Heart-Shape Face
Your shape is an upside down triangle, meaning there is very little of your face at the jaw line and more at the brow line. You want to look for a wig that doesn’t have height at the crown and the sides (area around your ears) but have fullness at the bottom. Chin length with bangs swept to the side will look perfect.

Oblong Face
Your shape is long and thin with a narrow chin. Avoid wigs that are long and hanging, or those that have a layered cut. It will only make your face seem lengthier. The aim is to add width to your face. Curly or wavy wigs will do just that. Hair length that reaches to the middle of your neck will look best on you.

Please remember, these are merely general guidelines. They may or may not work for you depending on your features, coloring and personal style. As you become more comfortable with what works with your face, body and style, you'll be able to make even better choices in wig and hair styles.
